Magefy takes the processing, security and confidentiality of your personal data very seriously.
This Policy has been adopted by Magefy and applies to any Cookies belonging to a Visitor that the Company may obtain through websites, branded pages on third-party platforms, and applications that are accessed or used via such websites or third-party platforms (collectively, the “Magefy Sites”) which are operated by, or on behalf of, the Company.
For the purposes of this Policy, a “Visitor” means any natural person (data subject) who visits and/or uses the Magefy Sites.
To improve the performance of the Magefy Sites, make the Visitor's experience more convenient and efficient, provide solutions and services that best meet the Visitor's needs, identify the Visitor's preferences, display advertising (behavioural advertising), and ensure the technical operability of the Magefy Sites, the Company needs to store and accumulate information about how the Visitor uses them. For this purpose, small text files known as “Cookies” are used. Cookies contain a small amount of information and are downloaded to the Visitor's computer or other device from the server of the Magefy Sites.
The Magefy Sites use various types of Cookies for different purposes, namely:
Strictly necessary Cookies: these Cookies are essential for the Visitor to navigate the Magefy Sites and use their features. Without them, the core functionality of the Magefy Sites cannot be used.
Performance Cookies: these Cookies collect information on how the Visitor uses the Magefy Sites. The data gathered include, for example, the browsers and operating systems employed, the domain name of the previously visited website, the number of visits, the average duration of each visit, and the pages viewed. These Cookies do not collect information that personally identifies the Visitor; they gather only aggregated data (information compiled and presented in summary form for statistical analysis and not classed as personal data under applicable law). Performance Cookies are used to make the Magefy Sites easier to use and to improve the Visitor's overall experience.
Functional Cookies: these Cookies enable the Magefy Sites to remember the options chosen by the Visitor (for example, a user name or network ID, language settings, or the area/region where the Visitor is located) and to provide enhanced, more personalised features. They may also remember any changes the Visitor makes to text size, fonts, and other customisable elements of the web pages. In addition, they can be used to deliver services requested by the Visitor, such as watching videos or leaving comments on a blog. The information collected by these Cookies can be anonymised, and they do not track the Visitor's activity on other websites.
Targeting Cookies: The Company may also allow performance and targeting (retargeting) Cookies from third-party services such as Google Analytics, Google reCAPTCHA, LinkedIn Insight Tag, Google Ads, Facebook Pixel, Amplitude, Hotjar, Visitor Queue, Marketo Munchkin, Reddit, Microsoft Clarity, Typeform, and others—to collect information about the Visitor's online activity on the Magefy Sites and on other third-party websites the Visitor may visit. This information is used to deliver advertising tailored to the Visitor's interests (behavioural advertising) and to gather data that helps the Company monitor and manage the effectiveness of its advertising and visitor numbers. As a result, the Company may show adverts to Visitors based on their previous visits to the Magefy Sites via publisher networks such as the Google Content Network (GCN). Further details about these Cookies can be found on the relevant third party's website.
If the Visitor does not agree with certain uses of Cookies described above, they may adjust their browser settings or refrain from using the Magefy Sites altogether. Should the Visitor choose to disable Cookies via their browser settings, they will still be able to use the Magefy Sites, although access to some features and pages may be limited. Because the methods for disabling the Company's Cookies through browser controls vary from one browser to another, the Visitor should consult the help menu of the browser they use to access the Magefy Sites for further information.
The Visitor should note that the Magefy Sites are not currently configured to respond to “Do Not Track” browser signals.
If you have any questions about Magefy's use of Cookies, please contact us at info@magefy.co.
At its sole discretion, Magefy may periodically amend or supplement this Policy. The Company encourages Visitors to review this Policy from time to time to stay informed about how Cookies are used.
